The torch should comply with the requirements of "Isobaric Torch and Cutting Torch" (JB/T794-1999) and "Injection Suction Torch" (JBT6969 1993). At present, the domestic widely used injection torch, its use of the main safety content is as follows.
(1) Before use, the cutting torch should be checked for suction performance. The method is: first connected to the oxygen tube, through 1 to 4 table pressure of oxygen, not connected to the acetylene tube, open the oxygen valve and acetylene valve, with the finger pressed in the acetylene inlet pipe connector, if you feel that there is enough internal suction, it shows that the ability to shoot suction normal; if there is no suction or even oxygen from the outflow, it means that there is no shot suction ability, must be overhauled before use. The isobaric torch should be checked for blockage of the gas pathway.
(2) Before use, you should also check the welding nozzle and the gas valve for leakage. The method is: to close the gas valve, insert the torch into the water, then pass oxygen and acetylene respectively, if no bubbles appear in the water, it proves that the gas tightness is good.
The above two checks should also be carried out frequently during use.
(3) The gas channels of the torch must not be contaminated with grease to prevent oxygen from burning and exploding in the presence of grease. At the same time, the mating surface of the welding nozzle should not be bruised to prevent gas leakage and affect the use.
(4) After passing inspection, ignition is allowed. Ignition first open acetylene handwheel, ignite acetylene immediately open the oxygen regulating valve handwheel to adjust the flame. This ignition method and first open the oxygen and then open the acetylene method of comparison has the following advantages: can avoid the ignition of the sound explosion phenomenon, easy to find out whether the torch is blocked and other defects, the flame from weak gradually become stronger, the flame burning more smoothly, etc.
The disadvantage is that the black smoke emitted at the time of ignition affects environmental hygiene. Can also be ignited when the oxygen adjustment handwheel is slightly open, and then open the acetylene adjustment handwheel and immediately ignite.
(5) Stop using, first off the acetylene hand wheel, then off the oxygen hand wheel to prevent the flame back to burn and producing black smoke. Welders in operation, such as acetylene and oxygen pressure or flow changes, can not meet the work requirements that need to be adjusted, must stop welding, extinguish the flame, to be dealt with after re-ignition. It is forbidden to carry out the adjustment process with the flame to prevent tempering caused by fluctuations in generator pressure and flow.
(6) After stopping use, the torch should be hung in a suitable place or the hose should be removed and the torch stored in the toolbox. It is forbidden to permanently connect the torch, hose, and gas source without removing the hose for the convenience of the work.
Tempering is a phenomenon in which the welding flame returns from the torch to the acetylene tube and acetylene cylinder, generator, etc. It is characterized by a sudden extinguishing of the flame and a rapid "hissing" sound within the torch.
